Uganda’s Tennis ace David Oringa will compete in a Tennis Challenge against Simon Ayella at Lugogo Complex on Friday.

The match is geared towards raising awareness for Uganda’s need to return to the International Tennis Federation (ITF).

The nation requires contribution of $26,000 to renew membership, a reason the challenge has been organised.

Uganda stopped being member in 2012. That year, Uganda Tennis Federation failed to clear annual subscription of $4000.

Oringa lost the Uganda Tennis Open title late last year to Duncan Mugabe in straight sets 6-4, 6-2 after defeating Kenyan Ibrahim Kibet in the semi final 4-6, 7-5, 6-2.
