As a kid, Emmanuel Magembe was viewed among the future of Ugandan football in terms of talent.
The former student at Old Kampala SS went off the scene when he moved to Europe through Kampala Junior Team (KJT) but resurfaced in January this year when KCCA manager Mike Mutebi offered him a chance to play for the champions.
Eight months later, he has quit Lugogo for another side – Proline where he has signed a two year deal.
The attacking midfielder who can also play as a winger has vowed to revive his career at Mujib Kasule’s side.
“It’s a new opportunity for me to showcase what I got,” he told Kawowo Sports. “It’s a chance to revive my career and am ready to take it with open hands,” he added.
Magembe is part of the Proline side that travels to Jinja this Thursday for a camp ahead of the forthcoming Uganda Premier League matches after the International break.
At Proline, he joins Sakka Mpiima, Nelson Senkatuka and Daniel Isiagi who he played alongside at KCCA.
He is expected to make his debut against Police at Kavumba Recreation Ground on September 6, 2016.
