South African professional golfer Joshua Seale won the 2016 Tusker Malt Uganda Golf Pro Tournament at the par 72 Uganda Golf Club course in Kampala, Uganda.
Seale, a regular Sunshine and MENA tour player tallied a course 2 under par gross score of 286 after four grueling rounds of golf played under sunny conditions.
For his heroics, he pocketed the lion’s share (Ug.shs 24.7M) of the total kitty Ug.shs 110M staked by the sponsors – Tusker Malt Lager.
“I am so happy for this victory. It was really worked out for” Seale told Kawowo Sports after the final round where he registered 3 under par 69.
On the final day, he was in the pressure group that had Kopan Timbe and the defending champion, Madalisto Muthiya.

Over the four days action, he returned 72 on the opening day, the same score for day two, slipped to one under one day three and had a phenomenal round of three under on the final day.
Zambia’s Madalisto finished with two over 290 to take the runners’ up slot.
Kenya’s Timbe (291) tied with countryman Stefan Engell Andersen for joint third.
Simon Ngigi tallied 292 to come a stroke better of David Odhiambo.
Jinja Club professional member Saidi Mawa was the best performing Ugandan at seventh place. Mawa recorded 293 after four rounds, same score as Odhiambo.
Long hitting Dismas Ndiza tied with Phillip Kasozi at 296 to complete the best ten slots.
A total of 85 professionals took part in the four day tournament that attracted golfers from as far as Zambia, South Africa, Ghana to the neighboring countries – Kenya and Rwanda.
