After beating almost everyone on the domestic scene, Golola Moses of Uganda now takes his game to Kenya.

October 15, 2016 will be day when the mortar mouthed Uganda and Africa kick boxing champion takes on Tanzanian Emmanuel Shija in a combat fight at the Kasarani stadium, Nairobi.

Golola who knocked out the Tanzania two years ago in Jinja says he is excited by the opportunity to fight him again although it’s a not rematch as this is entirely a different kind of sport in kick boxing.

“It’s a pleasure to fight in Kenya,” he told the press at a briefing held at Harris International, Kawempe. “They are going to know who Golola is physically,” he added.

The ‘champion’ who leaves for Nairobi for training under Dutch man Adre said his opponent is in Thailand preparing for this bout and thus needs adequate training as well thanking his sponsors Harris under their Rock Boom brand.

Shija has been in Thailand training for a while. As I leave for Nairobi to prepare as well, I thank Rock Boom for the unending support and vow never to disappoint you and Ugandans in general.

He wasn’t short of his usual jokes as he sent the press into laughter when he warned Shija.

Shija must know that I am the only man who got shot in the head but only felt headache. I will crush him.

Asked whether there is a timeline to finish off the Tanzanian national champions in the ring, he said he will prolong him to let the fans enjoy the fight but will eventually finish him off.

I want fans to enjoy more of me. You know am one man’s army but despite prolonging the fight, I will end up the winner.

His manager Maureen Mulangira hailed Golola for always being eager to venture into something new and also hailed Harris for always being behind him.

First, I thank Harris for supporting Golola. It’s been a while without hearing from Moses (Golola) but he is a man who loves baking and offers you something very ready. Here is with a new sport –combat.

Harris International Ltd Public Relations Officer (PRO), Richard Kansiime Kanyomozi said that as a company, they are happy to associate with a winner in Golola.

“We move with people who are winners and we couldn’t look beyond Golola Moses,” he stated. “To you Moses, the sky is the limit and we send you as our Brand Ambassador to Kenya.”
