Ugandan boxer Sharif ‘The Lion’ Bogere required a technical knock out to down Colombia’s Luis Edwards Florez in the non title super lightweight fight on Friday night of the bout that took place at the Cosmopolitan Hotel, Las Vegas in the United States of America.

The MayWeather Promotions managed boxer earned his 29th victory to improve his record to 29-1 (20 KOs).

Florez succumbed in the fourth of the 10 round affair.

Having recently acquired the services of Nevada Hall of Fame trainer Thell Torrence, boxer Sharif “The Lion” Bogere was quoted by the Daily Monitor;

I am very happy to have Torrence join me. He is a great guy with lots of experience.

I have no doubt we are going to rock the world

This was the second fight under the Mayweather Promotions brand and his first with new trainer Torrence.

Bogere, a resident of Las Vagas had last fought and registered victory in April over Samuel Amoako.

His last defeat came to Richard Abril in 2013.

Florez’s record now stands at 21-5-0.

Elsewhere, Lionell Thompson earned an unanimous decision win over his opponent Donovan George.

Thompson, also managed by the MayWeather promotions group improves his record to 17-4 (10 KOs).

Ishe Smith earned a majority decision victory over Frank Galarza to better his record to 29-8 (12 KOs).

On the same night, Justin Deloach won by an unanimous decision to defeat Domonique Dolton and take his personal record to 16-1 (8 KOs).
