Bright Stars vs. Sadolin Paints – Champions Stadium, 4:30pm

Sadolin Paints will look to earn breathing space and rise above relegation when they travel to Mwererwe to take on Bright Stars at the Champions Stadium on Tuesday 20th, September.

Like their fellow Jinja based teams, it has been a difficult start to the new season for Sadolin who have drawn twice and lost as many games with their latest defeat coming last Saturday against a Police side that had not won a league game since season start.

While the fans could have taken the 2-0 loss to SC Villa last month, a goalless draw against newcomers Kirinya-Jinja SS and a home defeat to a rather struggling Police side must have left the supporters wary of relegation.

The painters are yet to see victory this season, and alongside Kirinya, are the only two sides in the league yet to score a goal. With their current form a disappointment, the team looks nothing but relegation material.

Having registered inconsistent results towards the end of last season, Supporters were obviously not expecting a smooth ride at the beginning of the new campaign, but two points in their opening games is relegation form. The coach must shift the momentum quickly to ensure that their slide does not continue.

Confidence must be high within the Bright Stars camp coming into tomorrow’s encounter with the side managing a win and two draws in their opening four fixtures.

After playing out a thrilling 2-2 draw with Proline ten days ago, coach Fred Kajoba was impressed by his “young” side’s display, and insisted the team he assembled shortly before the start of the new season after losing a host of players in the transfer window was finally “settling in”

Kajoba will look to turn those draws into three points starting with the Tuesday’s game.

Bright stars who last season at this stage had let in only two goals have so far conceded four while scoring five. They are staged seventh in the league standings with five points while their opponents occupy the second last position with 2points.
