Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has suggested nine new referees on the list of 29 to the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) for consideration of the FIFA Badge for the coming year 2017.
William Oloya and Ali Bakisula have been recommended for the FIFA Center referee badges.
Northern region’s Dick Okello, Kitara based Samuel Turyomurirwe and Samuel Kakembo from Buganda for the men assistant referees’ badge.
Two female referees; Habiba Naigaga and Shamirah Nabadda have been forwarded to acquire the center refereeing badge.
Diana Mulungi is the only new name suggested for the women assistant referees’ badge.
Moses Ssebuliba Ssekamatte is the only new beach soccer referee whose name has been suggested for consideration.
Overall, there are seven center referees, eight men assistant referees, four women center referees, six women assistant referees and four beach soccer referees suggested by the FUFA referees’ standing committee.
It depend upon FIFA to decide upon the names suggested.
