Not so many players won over fans at Lugogo as striker Herman Wasswa Nteza.

The centre forward played for KCCA on two stints; 2013 to 2015 and then 2016 on rejoining from Sofapaka where he had a short spell.

Wasswa scored over 48 goals for the 11-time champions and after lack of enough playing time under Mike Ray Mutebi; he decided to find a home at Wankulukuku in August.

On Tuesday September 27, 2016, he returns to face the side where he won three league titles but let go.

“It will be nice playing against my former teammates,” he said ahead of the game. “I have good memories of KCCA as a club but all that is in the past now. I am now playing for Express,” he added.

The 2012/13 top scorer with 20 goals, 9 of which came while at Lugogo also added that he has no point to prove on Tuesday.

I don’t think there is any point to prove on my side. It will be a normal game for and as a striker; I would love to score goals.

Before joining KCCA, Wasswa netted three times against the club including once when Mike Mutebi was in charge of SC Villa at Nakivubo stadium.
