Revamped Rhinos are relishing a test against daring Kobs following impressive performances in the first round of the Uganda Rugby Cup on Saturday.

Kobs were on the cusp of excellence as they routed last year’s losing finalists Stallions 06-118 at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds.

The scores came close to a 152 – 00 Premiership ‘massacre’ Lira Bulls suffered at the hands of Kobs back in 2013.

Rhinos under superb tacticians Hebert Wafula, Brian Makalama and John Musoke destroyed UCU 58-00 and can’t wait to lock horns with their Legends-based rivals.

Rhinos move into this do or die tie with new firepower in Byron Oketayot, flyhalf/center Stallone Arinaitwe, veteran Mathias Ochwo and Kobs’ former Scott Oluoch.

On record, Kobs has won on the last two occasions they have encountered Rhinos in the Rugby Premiership but the latter still remain a threat after strengthening during the off-season.
