KU 0-1 Busitema  (Agg: 2-2) – KU Qualifies on away goals rule

Kampala University (KU) lost to Busitema 2-1 in the return leg of the University Football League (UFL) quarter finals at Villa Park, Nsambya on Wednesday afternoon.

Jackson Mugoya scored the lone strike on the day but it was not enough as the Gaba based institution qualified on the away goals rule having won 2-1 in the first leg.

Fibele Muyamana missed a penalty for KU.

During their first leg held a fortnight ago away,Muyamana and Abdallah Walusimbi scored the goals that won Kampala University the game 2-1 in Busitema as Ibrahim Orit had got the one side’s consolation.

KU joined Makerere and Uganda Martyr’s University, Nkozi as the three institutions to the last four stage which kicks off next week with the first legs.

The last quarter final will be played on Thursday in Nkumba between Nkumba and Gulu University.

The first leg encounter ended goal-less in Gulu Municipality.

Last edition’s winners, MUBS were eliminated at the group stages.

Quarter finals – 2nd Leg: Thursday, 20th October 2016: Nkumba vs Gulu – Nkumba University

Semis:

1st leg (26th & 27th October 2016)

2nd Legs (2nd & 3rd November 2016)

Finals and 3rd place: Saturday, 19th November 2016 (Nelson Mandela National Stadium, Namboole)
