Uganda Cranes’ team captain, Geoffrey Massa believes the AFCON 2017 draws held on Wednesday in Libreville were ‘fair’.

In an interview with Kawowo Sports from his base in South Africa where he plies a professional career with Baroka Football Club, Massa expected no special surprises at the draws;

I expected that, there is nothing like an easy team in the campaign. Whoever qualified was like a big team. We have got a quality team and that’s why we there.

Uganda was drawn in Group D alongside seven time AFCON winners Egypt and two West African giants, Ghana and Mali.

Massa also believes Uganda Cranes will stage a great fight throughout the tournament.

 We are going to compete. Don’t be surprised if we come back with the trophy.

 This is the mighty Uganda Cranes because it has been almost 40 years of continued hard work.
