After a false start to the 2016/17 season, Police coach Sam Timbe has tendered in his resignation at the club.
The veteran tactician resigned less than 24 hours after the Cops were thrashed 3-0 by KCCA at Phillip Omondi stadium, Lugogo.
His manager Muhammad Dhakaba Menhya confirmed the news insisting his client can’t continue to work under conditions of sabotage.
“It’s true,” he replied when asked whether Timbe had resigned. “The bosses at the club have received his resignation at the moment and we are out of it now,” he added.
“There was a lot of sabotage and as a professional; he couldn’t continue operating under such an environment.
The former SC Villa, Yanga and Atraco coach becomes another coach to leave a club this campaign after Charles Ayiekoh (Soana), Deo Sserwadda (SC Villa), Paddy Kintu (Lweza) and Alex Gitta (Express).
He leaves the 2005 champions in 15th on the 16 team log with just 7 points after 10 games.
They have won just once this campaign despite keeping almost the same squad from last season.
