2016 Uganda Coral Paintings Woodball Open: 29th &30th 2016

For the past seven editions of the Uganda Woodball open, Ndejje University has been victorious.
Ahead of the 8th edition, various teams are in a high gear to check and later on halt the dominance.
Over 11 universities have confirmed to take part in the 2016 edition that will be hosted at UCU in Mukono bearing in mind that Woodball will feature prominently on the list of the sports events at the East Africa Games due December 16, 2016 in Nairobi, Kenya.
Therefore the 2016 Coral Coating Open offers the perfect training experience.
The defending champions will definitely face stiff opposition from Bishop Stuart University, Busitema University, MUBS, Ndejje Club,Botladz Club and St. Joseph Technical Institute, Kisubi Club which have variously proved a thorn in their flesh.
Coral Coatings Limited injected 15 million shillings in the event sponsored for the second year in a row.
The record entry of teams registered for the two-day tournament has also attracted 19 primary schools, 20 secondary schools and 20 corporate teams respectively.
This year’s edition has seen seven new teams join the competition which include Kkungu Primary School, Mamita Primary School, Vision of Africa Primary School, Bombo Army S.S, Jinja S.S, Mt. St. Henry’s School, and Cipla QCIL (corporate).
Competition will feature primaryschools , secondary schools , clubs and corporate categories.
- Primary and Secondary schools will compete only on Saturday, October 29, 2016.
- Corporates are to compete only on Sunday, October 30, 2016 starting at 1 pm.
- Clubs/Universities will compete for 2 days; stroke competition on Saturday and Fairway competition on Sunday.
So far 593 participants are confirmed to participate; list of confirmed teams per category is attached.
