After more than a month of preparations, the Pool Association of Uganda (PAU) Technical Committee yesterday screened the teams and came up with the final list of 12 Players in each category.

Among the 12 only eight will be used in the Team Events while the remaining four will join them to play Individual Events.

Skin Samona captain Uthman Bukenya, Hotpool’s Habib Sebuguzi and Icon’s Simon Lubulwa were the three dropped off in the Men’s Squad.

According to the team head coach, Simon Lubulwa aka The Computer who is Seed 7 failed to impress that he deserve to be on squad with a poor performance in all sessions. Bukenya ans Sebuguzi also failed the test with limited performances after both scoring law points in the training.

The first eight who will play in the Pool Cranes Team are led by skipper Oscar Ocakakon, Alfred Gumikiriza aka The Blacksheep, Sula Matovu, Humphrey Nsubuga, Fred Namanya aka Bonde, Joseph Kasozi, Salim Akankwasa and Azali Lukomwa.

Meanwhile, Fahad Sewankambo, Geofrey Setumba, Jonan Turigye and Charles Segawa will represent the Country in Individual Category.

“The Team is ready and we have nothing to worry about. I’m calling on all Ugandans to come in numbers and support their Team on Thursday at the Lugogo Indoor Arena in Kampala,” noted the team coach Bob Minani.

In the Ladies Team, the first eight include captain Zaimat Nabafu, Ritah Nimusima, Vicky Namuyanja, Angella Busingye, Justine Nampebwa, Jacinta Kajubi, Sharone Mirembe and Club Klein’s Rose Namugerwa.

The four Players who will play in Individuals are Joan Nakayiza, Damallie Nakato, Aisha Madondo and CKI’s Lydia Ayebazibwe.

Meanwhile, all the countries expected at the event are in the country. They are all accommodated at Arch Apartments in Ntinda.

The games cue off tomorrow at 10:00am
