Baroka FC 3-4 Cape Town City (After Extra time)

Baroka Football club lost 3-4  (after extra time) to Cape Town City in a 7 goal quarter final thriller of the Telkcom Cup played at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium. 

Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Lehlohonolo Majoro scored as early as the 8th minute of the game to give Cape Town City the lead. Bhongolwethu Jayiya then headed home a corner to make it 2-0 in the 19th minute.

Four minutes later, midfielder Khalid Aucho limped out for Jack Motshegwa before Geofrey Massa came in for Cleopas Dube on the half hour mark. Massa nearly made the perfect impact, as he weaved his way into the box, before firing wide of the target in the 37th minute.

Mathari Mothupa pulled a goal back for Baroka with a great powerful header as the half time read 2-1.
 
Baroka equalized through Motshegwa’s volley 13 minutes into the second half.
 
The goals continued with Mashikinya’s curling free kick and a late equalizer for Baroka through Mahashe to force the game into the extra 30 minutes after normal time.
 
The day’s hero was Sibusiso Masina with a late-late winner that ensured Cape Town City win the match 4-3 and book a semi-final berth.
