University Football League: 1st Semi-final (2nd Leg) – Wednesday, 9th November 2016
KU Vs Makerere University – Luzira Prisons (2 p.m)
Kampala University (KU) is set to host the return leg of the semi-finals for the 2016 University Football League (UFL) against Makerere University on Tuesday afternoon at the Prisons play ground in Luzira, Kampala.
The two sides face off following last week’s opening leg that ended goal-less at the same play ground.
Last week, Makerere University, whose institution was closed down by the Government over striking students and lecturers were the side that hosted the first leg.
Against a technical side as KU, the battle is far from finish as coach Vincent ‘Titi Camara Box to Box’ Tumusiime testifies;
The game will be so difficult to determine until the final whistle.
Both sides have great players with positional discipline and individual skills.
The better prepared side on the day will win and qualify for the finals.

KU will look to the magic of talismen Fibele Muyamana and Abdallah Walusimbi for inspiration.
Makerere University’s Joshua Lubwama, one player who has been a thorn in the flesh of the opposition eyes yet another impressive performance at a time and plat form when he is most needed.
Crafty left footed midfielder Davis Mayanja, arguably the most gifted passer of the ball in the league is another key pillar for the ‘Ivory Tower’ Institution.

The second semi final return leg between Nkumba University and Uganda Martyr’s University, Nkozi comes on Thursday in Nkozi, off Masaka Highway.
Nkumba University will carry a slim one goal advantage.
Last edition’s winners, MUBS were eliminated at the group stages.

Yassar Mugerwa (Nkumba University), Jesse Kajubi (KIU), Geofrey Akabwai (KIU), Hannington Ssebwalunyo (Ndejje and Makerere Universities), Siraje Musindo (Mbarara University of Science and Technology), Yunus Kaddu and Dan Nsubuga (Nkumba University) and many others are some of the players bred out of the league.
