Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) handed over the promised land title to Mamelodi Sundowns Football Club and Uganda Cranes goalkeeper, Dennis Onyango.
This was during a brief function that took place at Nelson Mandela National stadium on Saturday, shortly before the national team’s 1-0 victory against Congo Brazzaville in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

FUFA President, Moses Magogo in company of Airtel Uganda Limited head of Marketing and Communications manager, Remmy Kisakye, State Sports minister Charles Bakabulindi and Canaan Sites Limited Managing Director, Sam Wabasa handed over the land title to the goalkeeper who missed the match through injury.
Onyango was rewarded for the exemplary performance for the Uganda Cranes over time as well as guiding his South African club to the ABSA Premiership title and the CAF Champions league honour.
The land, whose size could not be easily established is located at Nsaagu, along the Entebbe Express Highway.
Onyango became the first Ugandan to win the CAF Champions League after earlier attempts by Mike Mutyaba (TP Mazembe), Patrick Ochan (TP Mazembe) and Yunus Sentamu (AS Vita), all whose teams lost in the finals.
The gangly shot stopper has been a diligent servant for Uganda Cranes over the past decade with exceptional leadership abilities, team and individual brilliance.
