League defending champions Ulinzi Warriors have embarked on serious training ahead of the Fiba Africa Men’s Club Championship in Cairo, Egypt.

The outfit departs from Kenya soon for the tournament due next month. The men’s championship gets underway December 7th and ends on 20th.

Ulinzi could meet Uganda’s City Oilers in the event, after the neighbours swept the Fiba Africa Zone V Clubs Basketball Championship in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania last month.

Ulinzi head coach William Balozi is confident the side will impress.

“Currently the squad is packed, everyone is fit and all are playing perfectly, but the four players are still in my bucket list for Cairo,” he told Standard Media.

“They are my power reserve just in case any of the experienced players pick injuries or are unable to travel for one reason or the other.”
