Mbarara City during a previous game with Masavu at Katabi. The two sides played to a goal-less draw

Kenneth Tumusiime and Charles Odeke scored two second half goals for Masavu Football Club in their 2-1 home victory against Kireka United in a FUFA Big League match played at the Katabi play ground in Entebbe.

Tonny Kiguli’s headed goal had earlier given hope for the visitors to cancel Tumusiime’s opener but second half substitute, Odeke had other ideas all together heading home the winner  14 minutes from full-time.

Masavu leads the Rwenzori Group with five points advantage as they accumulate 20 points, five ahead of second placed Nyamityobora.

Elsewhere, Maroons edged Sporting United 2-1 at the Lango Sports Grounds in Lira to restore their top status in the Elgon Group ahead of Ndejje University.

Ibrahim Kongo and Solomon Walusimbi netted the goals for Asaph Mwebaze’s charges.

Arajab Waiswa was the hero in Kamuli when Artland Katale defeated visiting Doves All Stars 2-0 at the Kamuli District play ground.

There were two draws on the day. Sun City and Water F.C played to a 2-2 draw, the same result that Hope Doves and Baza Holdings played to.

Three clubs will be promoted to the Uganda Premier League at the end of the season.
