Power vs. KIU Titans – 8pm, YMCA (Series tied 2-2)

KIU Titans won the first game of the semifinal series and had the luxury of losing 2 straight to give Power a 2-1 lead.

They found themselves closer to the exit door than to the finals entrance and had to rely on a huge 69-54 win to give themselves a chance of making the finals.

The story will not go on any longer though, the two sides meet Friday night in the decisive game of the series.

“It’s win or go home so we have no choice but to win,” KIU head coach Hamza Nyambogo told Kawowo Sports ahead of the game.

KIU, lead by shooting guard Sudi Ulanga, rolled over Power in Game 4 and will look to maintain that form in the game that matters most for them.

“We have to replicate the same form in the decider otherwise we shall have wasted our time,” Nyambogo noted after the game on Wednesday.

For Power, they don’t have to do much apart from turning up for the game. The side barely played on Wednesday and made it too easy for the university side.

“We have to show up prepared for the game and play our best game,” Power captain Joseph Ikong said after the game on Wednesday.

The five time champions defended awfully on Wednesday and failed to execute on the other end of the floor as KIU leveled the series.

Isaac Afidra, Michael Kojjo failed to maintain their form from the previous games while Michael Makiadi was ejected after a second technical foul.

KIU Titans have never played in the finals of the national league while Power have been there and won it all.

“We want to go to the finals,” captain Joseph Ikong has, on several occasions said.

The winner of tonight’s game will take on City Oilers in the finals.
