Nigeria humiliated and humbled fellow West Africans Mali 6-0 in a group B match of the Africa Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) match played at the Stade De Limbe in Cameroon on Sunday.

Arsenal Ladies’ star striker Asisat Oshoala single handedly led the assault with four individual goals to her name.

Francisca Ordega and Uchechi Sunday scored the other goals for the Super Falcons, the tournament defending champions.

Ordega opened scoring after 22 minutes. Oshoala scored the team’s second and her first on the day five minutes from the half time mark.

Uchechi got their third two minutes into the second half when she converted a penalty.

From then on wards, it was an all Oshoala affair; scoring in the 64th, 68th and 77th minutes past goalkeeper Samake Goundo.

The Nigerians are now top of group B followed by Ghana who overcame Kenya 3-1.

Nigeria will take on Ghana on Tuesday as Kenya plays Mali on the same day in Limbe.

Meanwhile, the matches resume on Monday with group A games.

Cameroon takes on South Africa in the opening game of the day in Yaounde.

Zimbabwe will take on Egypt in the second game of the evening.
