Ghana Black Queens recovered from goal down to win 3-1 against Kenya Harambee Starlets at the Stade De Limbe during the Africa Women Football Championship on Sunday in Cameroon.

Esse Akida gave the East Africans the lead in the opening half  with a well timed volley off Mary Kinuthia’s teasing cross 23 minutes into the game.

They lost the advantage when Suleman Samira headed home a diving effort in the second stanza of the game.

Further goals from Elizabeth Addo (penalty) and Portia Boakye’s well curled free-kick buried off the game in Ghana’s favour.

Addo’s penalty was contested by the Kenyans in what many termed a ball to hand incident.
