Portugese born attacker Orlando Carlos Braga De Sa gave the visitors the lead on 26 minutes of the well attended game.

Mats Rits found the equalizer for the home side a minute to the break of the first half as the two sides returned to the locker-rooms with a goal apiece.

French born striker, who was born in Nice City, Nicholas Verdier sealed the victory  for KV Mechelen seven minutes into the second stanza of the match – the assist coming off Croizet.

KV Mechelen now has 22 points, same as Liege but the Rouches are still above in 9th place on the 16 team log.

Uganda Cranes star player, Miya was once again rested from the action as he did not make the final 18 man squad for the team.

Of recent, Miya has been a huge asset to the national team despite struggling for a slot on the main stream club team.

He is a regular on the team’s U-21 side that plays every Monday.
