After winning their second University Football League (UFL) title in five years, Kampala University (KU) has now switched attention and focus to the up-coming East African University games due in Kenya come December 2016.
The university vice chancellor, Professor Badru Kateregga has re-assured the players of his full backing when they officially handed over the trophy to him at the main campus in Gaba, Kampala.
We have now conquered Uganda.
Focus and preparations immediately switch to the East African University games in Kenya. I will support the team fully.
During their final with Nkumba last Saturday at Namboole stadium, KU recovered from a scare of an eminent defeat when they scored the equalizer that forced the game 2 all by the close of business of normal time.
In the extra time, KU scored to win 3-2, adding a second trophy in five years since the 2013 heroics.
KU now turns to preparing for the East Africa University games which will take place at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology in Nairobi.
