2016 Africa Cup of Nations Women championship hosts Cameroon became the first team to qualify for the semi–finals.

This followed a hard fought 1-0 win over South Africa in their Group A match on Tuesday in Yaounde.

Substitute Genevieve Ngo Mbeleck scored the only goal of the match seven minutes from time as the hosts romped to their successive win at the tournament, and secure a place at the last four.

Midfielder Raissa Feudjio will not play against Zimbabwe in the last group game having picked her second caution against South Africa.

Egypt overcame Zimbabwe in the other group A match to go second in the group.
