6th Corporate Woodball Circuit

Nelson Mandela National Stadium is set to host the final Corporate Woodball Circuit of the year, 2016.

This will be the sixth Corporate Woodball circuit this year.

According to John Baptist Kateregga, an administrator with the Uganda Woodball Federation (UWbF) there are a number of teams that have duly confirmed participation;

Buganda Land Board, Bank of Uganda, Botladz Woodball Club, Stroke Woodball Club, UNEB Woodball Team, Kabaka Foundation, St. Joseph’s Technical Institute Kisubi, Ndejje Corporate Club, Centenary Bank, Reigners Woodball Club, Zoe Woodball Club and Urban TV are the teams confirmed thus far.

The circuit will take place on Sunday, 27th November 2016 between 1 and 6 p.m

Bank of Uganda’s William Osire Likiriat and Agnes Apio top the men’s and women’s points logs respectively.

Osire has accumulated 150 points from 5 circuits held so far this year.

He is closely followed by Raymond Semata (St. Joseph’s Technical Institute Kisubi) and John Baptist Kateregga  (Botladz Woodball Club) with 149 points each.

Apio has 114 points from 5 circuits; 10 better than Mary Nantumbwe (St. Joseph’s Technical Institute, Kisubi) and 11 better than Rose Matovu (Ndejje Corporate Club).

Raymond Semata and Rodgers Tayebwa (St. Joseph’s Technical Institute, Kisubi) to the doubles’ points log with 101 points.

Corporate Woodball has steadily garnered momentum like all the other forms of the game; Open tournaments, Schools Championship as well as the Beach circuits.

All the events are organized by the Uganda Woodball Federation.
