Kyambogo vs. Maroons – 4:00pm

Maroons will look to extend their lead at the top of the Elgon Group in the FUFA Big League on Thursday when they travel to Kyambogo West End to face Kyambogo FC.

The Prisoners are in great position after nine games with 21 points on board for Asaph Mwebaze’s team so far.

Last time in the league, Darmien Nakalema and Eddy Kapampa inspired the side to their sixth win of the campaign.

With Kira United losing to Mwebaze’s side and Mbarara City succumbing to a 2-1 defeat to Water on Saturday, Maroons remained the only team in the league yet to see defeat this season.

They come into this one on top of their game, and with confidence flowing, this game should pose no problems for them as long as they don’t get too cocky.

The hosts will be hoping to end their unpleasant run, but with the league leaders the opposition, they know the kind of opponent they are up against.

The side has managed to take all three points only once, while drawing four times and losing as many.

They sit second from the bottom with seven points.
