Maxime Van Pee is all heads up after acquiring a 2017 KTM 450cc bike ahead of the second round of FIM Africa, Central Africa Motocross Championship (CAC) in Kenya.
Van Pee has been racing with the KTM 350 bikes for the last four years winning two MX championships as well as two regional titles.
“I thought it was the right time for me to upgrade to a much stronger bike which is the 450 bike,” he said.

Van Pee confessed to have found the missing part in his career after hours of testing in Busiika MX arena over the weekend
“The new bike is the best thing I have seen in a long time, it is more powerful, light. I like everything about it.
“With it I just have to be a bit stronger and careful because it has a lot of new features that call for different skills while racing,” he said.
The 23-year-old will debut the bike in this weekend’s CAC Round Two in Kenya. He will also be defending his regional title.
Van Pee leads a team of over 20 Ugandan riders to Kenya as they fight for the regional title.
Uganda leads the CAC with 1217 points; 687 ahead of Kenya.
