Sunday, 11th December 2016: Kashima Antlers Vs Mamelodi Sundowns – Suita City Stadium, Osaka, Japan

Reigning African champions, Mamelodi Sundowns are set to face eight-time J-League Champions, Kashima Antlers during their match on Sunday at the Suita City Stadium, in Osaka, Japan.

Uganda Cranes first choice goalie Dennis Onyango will be part of the Sundowns team.

Onyango is the first Ugandan to play at the FIFA World Cup championship.

Mamelodi Sundowns is coached by Pitso Mosimane who said he is ready to face the Antlers.

Kashima Antlers overcame Auckland City 2-1 in the first game.

Kim Dae-Wook headed Auckland ahead five minutes after half-time, but substitute Shuhei Akasaki equalised in the 67th minute.

Fellow sub Mu Kanazaki ensured victory for the home side with an 88th minute header.

The winner of between Antlers and Sundowns will then take on Columbian side Copa Libertadores winners Atletico Nacionale in Osaka , and the winner of this match on December 14 goes through to the final on December 18.

Other matches will feature Asian Champions League champions Jeonbuk Hyandai against CONCACAF Champions League winners Club America from Mexico, to be played on December 11 in Osaka, while UEFA Champions League winners, Spanish giants Real Madrid will open their account against the winner of the clash between Hyandai and Club America on December 15 in Yokohama.

The tournament features champions from Asia, Africa, Mexico, Columbia, New Zealand, Spain and host team J League champions.

The tournament will be played in two venues – the Suita City Football Stadium in Osaka, and the International Stadium in Yokahama.
