Senegal defeated West African rivals Nigeria 8-4 to win the 2016CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations.
This was the fourth time that Senegal were being crowned winners.
Both countries will now represent Africa at the 2017 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in the Bahamas.
The final score was determined in the final period of the game as the two sides were 4 all after the second period.
Two late goals from hat-trick hero Sylla as well as further efforts from Fall and Diouf wrapped up the title.
Egypt finished third following a 4-1 comprehensive win over Morocco in the third place play off.
Nigeria’s Emeka Ogbonna was named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament.
Senegalese Fall Babacar finished as top scorer as his countryman, Al Seyni Ndiaye was best goalie of the tourney.
Uganda’s reigning Referee of the year, Ivan Kintu Bayige was named best referee of the tournament.
This year, Uganda pulled out of the CAF Beach Soccer Championship qualifiers citing financial constraints.
