2016 East Africa University Games (Football):

  • Finals: Kampala University 2-1 Zanzibar University
  • Third Place: MUBS 2-0 Ndejje University

Kampala University are the champions of the 2016 East Africa University Games (football, men).

Coach Vincent ‘Ti-Ti Camara Box to Box’ Tumusiime’s side defeated Zanzibar University 2-1 in a well contested final played on Tuesday at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.

In the third place play off, MUBS edged Ndejje University 2-0 in all Ugandan affair.

KU had defeated MUBS 4-2 in a tense penalty shoot out after normal time had ended goal-less.

Zanzibar overcame Ndejje 3-2 in another shoot-out after a non-scoring draw.

Ndejje University won the overall title to defend their crown.

Kampala University 0 (4)-(2)0 MUBS
Zanzibar University 0(3)-0(2) Ndejje University
