Hotpool, arguably, the country’s oldest Pool club has secured the services of Simon ‘The Computer’ Lubulwa from Nansana based Club Icon.
Lubulwa, a Pool Association of Uganda (PAU) seed seven signed a contract that keeps him at the club for the next three years effective January 2017.
The transfer fees involving the former Spice, Mambule and Rock Catalina player remain undisclosed.
The soft spoken Lubulwa joins the Gladiators as a direct replacement for Jonan ‘Joker’ Turigye who was released by Hotpool at the later stage of the past season.
Hotpool manager Bob Trubish is excited to have captured Lubulwa, whom he considers as one of the best talented players in the country.
I personally consider Simon as one of the most skilled and talented Pool players in the Country. I believe with the mentorship of other players like Alfred Gumikiriza, Fred Namanya Bonde, Charles Ssegawa, Nsubuga Humphrey, Adam Sebbi and others, Computer will become an even better player and will be able to help the Team deliver its ambitions over the coming years.
I am delighted that Simon has chosen Hotpool and the Gladiators as his new home.
Lubulwa is currently the reigning PAU Kampala Open and Lugazi Open champion.
He joins the club with Habib Ssebuguzi Habib, another young prospect.
The club intends to sign two more players in either gender to beef up the respective squads.
