The preliminary round of the 2016/17 Uganda Cup in Buganda Region continued on Wednesday with 9 games.
Vision Group were among the teams dumped out of the tournament after falling to Mpigi United 2-1 at the Mpigi Police play ground.
Other winners were Kampala University, with a 3-0 victory over Nkambi Coffee, Luwero United were 2-0 victors against Nangabo Green Valley.
Africa Pollysack humbled Kikyusa Cream 3-0 and Busula overcame FreeStars 2-1.
These were matches in the second round and the third round comes this weekend.
On Christmas Eve, there are four matches scheduled. Nabugabo take on Kyetume, Seeta United host Kiwanga, Kampala University will face Mpigi United and Luwero United will entertain Busuula.
On Sunday (Christmas Day), only one game between Kiboga Young and Africa Pollysack will be played.
According to the Buganda Region Football Association Chief Executive Officer, Muzafaru Ssebagala, the rest of the matches will progress until the last four are attained.
We are happy for the progress thus far in the Uganda Cup tournament early stages.
The successful four clubs will progress to the Round of 64 where they will be joined by the other clubs that qualified from the rest of the regions, clubs in the Big League and Premier League.
Vipers are the defending champion of the tournament.
