Algeria Coach Georges Leekens has named a provisional 30-man squad for the forthcoming 2017 Africa Nations Cup due in Gabon early next year.

The star studded squad has reigning English Premier League and BBC African Player of the Year Riyad Mahrez, his Leicester City teammate Islam Slimani and goalkeeper Mbolhi Raïs who plies his trade in Turkey with Antalyaspor.

Other notable names on the squad include Watford midfielder Guedioura Adlène, FC Porto’s Brahimi Yacine, Soudani Hillal El Arabi of Dinamo Zagreb and Schalke 04’s Bentaleb Nabil plus Westham United’s Feghouli Sofiane.

Algeria have had an abysmal campaign in the Road to Russia 2018 qualification but target the AFCON to redeem themselves.

The North African giants are drawn in group B that has Zimbabwe, Tunisia and the on form Senegal.
