Uganda Cranes group D opponents at the Africa Nations Cup, Ghana are likely to miss the services of versatile midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah.
According to reports on Ghana’s online publication, ghanasocernet, the Juventus man has asked Coach Avram Grant who is set to announce his squad for the finals due in Gabon between January 14 to February 5 next year to be left out.
The midfielder, who can also play as a wing back has been out for a while with an injury and has missed the Black Stars’ two matches in the FIFA 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Uganda and Egypt.
Ghana open their account in Port Gentil against The Cranes on January 17 as they seek to win their first African title since 1982.
