Having suffered misfortunes throughout the National rally championship, the Team Sebuguzi will have something to cherish about this season; but the Sprint championship title.
Ronald Sebuguzi and Leon Ssenyange were crowned 2016 Sprint champions after Monday’s SMC Sprint.
The crew took third place at the sprint in Festino Cite, Mukono.

“It has been a tough season for us. four successive DNFs. Certainly two wins there would have handed us the national title. However it wasn’t to be.”
“Taking the National Sprints championship is at least something we can be happy about,” said Ssenyange.
With the 2016 season done, the crew remain optimistic to open a different chapter next season.
“We remain positive that next season will be a good one for us, hopefully our fortunes can Change in 2017.”
“We are looking at getting more rally time too. Possibly a few rallies across the boarder,” he added.
Sebuguzi started 2016 season on a high with a season opener win. His performance gradually changed from worse to worst posting more DNFs than finishes.
The crew finished fifth overall on the 2016 NRC standings.
