• FUFA president expected to deliver his end of year address
  • Uganda Cranes reportedly in financial distress ahead of AFCON 2017

Opinion: For prosperity of Uganda Cranes team on the continent at AFCON 2017, the team needs at worst two international build up matches. The head coach Milutin Sredejovic had originally planned for 5. Then, the opening two were scrapped off (Gabon and Libya) after scarce financial resources. Three games tentatively remained on the planned list (Tunisia, Slovakia and Cote D’Ivoire). At the moment, these three games are also on the wire because the Government’s promise of at least Ug.shs 4.38 billion is not forth-coming.
At this juncture, i call upon key stake holders (Corporate companies, national team sponsors and Government) to rescue the call. Uganda Cranes need the monies as soon as possible for early and great preparations.
