
Uganda Cranes utility player, Hassan Wasswa Mawanda on Thursday evening left the country for Lebanon for the final details with Al Akhaa Al Ahli F.C, a Lebanese top flight side.
The midfielder cum defender sought special permission to leave the national team currently camped at Serene Suites, Mutundwe before traveling to Lebanon where he is expected to be unveiled ahead of the new season.
Mawanda has been playing at local club, Vipers S.C where he penned a short term contract after his paper work to join professional ranks in Lebanon had been delayed.

Formerly at Iraqi side Al Shorta Football Club, Wasswa makes the move to Lebanon having passed trials mid this year during a week stint.
During that time, Mawanda had traveled with three other Ugandans, Robert Sentongo, Erisa Ssekisambu and Tonny Odur, all of whom since returned home.
He will officially join Dennis Iguma who has been playing at the reigning champions, Al Ahed Football Club.
Mawanda is expected to join the national team in Tunisia on Sunday for the training camp ahead of Wednesday’s international friendly match in Tunis City.
