Simba 0-0 URA FC

Tanzania giants, Simba and Uganda’s representatives at the 2017 Mapinduzi Cup shared the spoils in a goalless draw on Thursday at the Amman stadium.

The draw follows the tax collectors’ 2-1 shock loss to Zanzibar side, Jang’ombe Boys on Tuesday.

Tuesday’s loss had followed their 2-0 win over another Zanzibar out fit, KVZ on Sunday.

The result means, heading to their last group game on Sunday, the tax collectors are in a must win situation against Taifa ya Jang’ombe.

Labama Bogota Kamana has scored three goals for the Ugandan sides having scored a brace in the opener their consolation in the subsequent match.

Kefa Kisala’s charges will rest out on Friday and Saturday before the game of the group on Sunday, 8th January 2017.

Simba’s first match was that slim 1-0 victory over KVZ when Yassin Mzamiru scored.

URA is the tournament defending champion.
