Cameroon national football team head coach, Hugo Broos has revealed the final 23-man squad to play at the AFCON finals in Gabon.

The team has only one local based player, Georges Mbokwe, a goalkeeper featuring for Coton Sport De Garoua.

The other 22 players all feature outside the country with defender Jonathan Ngwem, the other African based player with Angola out fit, FC Progresso.

Seville goalkeeper Fabrice Ondoa, Metz midfielder Georges Mandejeck, defender Fai Collins who turns out at Standard Liege in Belgium, attacker Jacques Zoua of Germany side Kaiserslautern and Besiktas’ Vincent Aboubakar are some of the high profile names on the team.

Cameroon has won the Africa Cup of Nations competition four times, with their latest success being in 2002.

The Belgian tactician has found a torrid time to convince players come for the nations cup tournament.

They will miss Eric Maxim Choupo Moting, Andre Onana (Ajax Amsterdam), Guy N’dy Assembe (Nancy), Maxime Poundje (Girondins Bordeaux), Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa (Olympique Marseille), Liverpool’s Joel Matip, West Brom’s Allan Nyom  and Ibrahim Amadou (Lille).

The Indomitable Lions are drawn in Group A with the hosts Gabon, Burkina Faso and Guinea Bissau.
