Some of the elevated players were; Bashir Mutanda, Ashraf Mandela, Geoffrey Wasswa Mbabali, Frank ‘Zagga’ Tumwesigye and Alex Komakech, although many struggled for playing time including training sessions.

Club President, Lawrence Mulindwa has already repeatedly hinted on talent development than buying finished products on the market.

“We shall not fight for players from the local market when we have the ability to develop our own young players,” Mulindwa who also has plans of a club academy and reserve sides noted as he ushered in the new year.

With Mawanda headed to Lebanon, the club has replaced him with Waiswa who becomes the second January signing after former Bul talisman and magician, Milton Karisa.
