Ugandan sides at the ongoing Africa Cup of Club Championship in Nairobi, Kenya are in misery as none has seen triumph.

Having lost their opening games on Saturday, day two presented six fixtures with the 2016 National Hockey League winners Wananchi [W] and Weatherhead [M] returning to the field of play against Ghana Police and Eastern Company from Egypt respectively.

Wananchi, debuting at the tournament were playing a Ghanaian side for second time having faced Ghana Revenue Authority in their first game.

Like in their opening game which ended 11-0 Innocent Mbabali’s side ended on the losing end as a 6-0 loss handed them their second defeat in the competition.

The most goal scoring team in the domestic league last season with 79 once again failed to score making them the only Ugandan side at the tournament yet to see the back of the net.

The result leaves Wananchi bottom of the table with no point. They take a rest tomorrow, return to action on Tuesday against Tanzania.

Meanwhile, in the other game that had a Ugandan side, Wananchi’s fellow debutants Weatherhead [M] disastrously lost 14-0 to Easterners in their second game.
