After a long wait, the annual Federation of Motorsport Clubs of Uganda(FMU) awards ceremony is set for Friday 13th January at the Imperial Royale Hotel.

Unlike before, champions from two championship seasons; 2015 and 2016 will be awarded.

“We are glad to announce that all our champions will be awarded on Friday. We chose to combine the years because of the time factor,” said the FMU president Dusman Okee.

“I can assure everyone Friday will be a great day for motorsports, everything is put in place for our competitors to have fun, it will be worth the wait ,” he added.

Over 20 categories will be awarded from all the motorsport disciplines.

Arthur Blick Jr and Unissan Bakunda will finally be crowned 2015 NRC champions. The crew won their maiden title with a Subaru Impreza N10. Blick Jr will again take home the 2015 Enduro title.

Ismail Waliggo will be crowned Two-wheel drive(2WD) champion of 2015.

Kuku Ranjeet and Musa Nsubuga will pick the 2015 sprint championship title.

Jas Mangat and Joseph Kamya will be up for the 2016 NRC championship award after a sublime season. Ismail Otega and Ronald Sebuguzi who won the 2WD and Sprint championship titles respectively will also be awarded.

Motocross will have Maxime Van Pee pick the 2015 and 2016 MX titles along with the Enduro awards.

Ali Omar yasser, Fatuh Kiggundu, Fortune Sentamu, Waleed Omar, Isabella Blick and Imran Nkrunziza will all go home crowned MX champions from the respective classes.

Sabiiti Muyanja and John Bosco Nkubi will receive the Autocross and 4×4 title awards respectively.
