One of the lowly rated teams remaining at the 2016/17 Uganda Cup Round of 64 stage is Igombe Football Club from Iganga, a fourth division side.
Igombe eliminated Eastern region club Town View 2-0 in the earlier stages of the competition to book a ticket to represent the zone at the Round of 64 where they are most likely to face FUFA Big League or Uganda Premier League sides.
According to Asuman Ahmed Ssenkubugu Kibirango, a team official, the Iganga based out fit is ready for any challenge presented;
We are set for action. We only fear Big league sides than top elite clubs.
Any way, we are glad to have reached this far. This is already a big achievement for Igombe Football Club
All the 64 clubs remaining in the 2016/17 Uganda Cup will know their opponents on Wednesday when the draws will take place at FUFA House in Mengo, Kampala.
