After scoring the opener for Gabon and watching on in disbelief as his side conceded a late goal, team skipper Pierre Aubameyang is looking to make amends in the next fixture.

The Borussia Dortmund star striker easily met Denis Bouanga’s telling ball inside the six yard area for the opener in the 52nd minute as the crowd ran erratic.

He has the feeling, Gabon will overturn the shock;

We played well at first but lost it at the end. It is not the end of the world, we look towards a better performance in the next game.

We have the home fans who look to us for the best results possible.

Gabon dominated the early stages of the game.

They would have easily scored had Malick Evouna, Llyod Palun and skipper Aubameyang beaten the Bissau defence and goalkeeper Jonas Mendes.

The host nation returns to action next Wednesday against Burkina Faso as Cameroon will take on Guinea-Bissau on the same day.

All the countries in Group A are even on all aspects given the fact that the Cameroon – Guinea Bissau encounter also ended in a goal-less stalemate.
