Vipers Sports Club forward player Erisa Ssekisambu has called upon a collective team effort from his teammates ahead of the CAF Confederation Cup tie against Volcan De Moroni at Namboole.

Ssekisambu addressed the media on Friday morning, flanked by the club head coach Richard Wasswa and team captain Nico Wakiro Wadada.

“We shall miss our player Sserumaga but with teamwork, we can get the best desired result at home in the first leg,” Ssekisambu told the media.

The forward, who was part of the team’s continental expedition last year in the CAF Champions League also believes that last season’s experience will be of great use in the match.

“Last season, we won 1-0 in Kampala against Enyimba although we lost the return leg in Nigeria. We have learnt good lessons from that experience which will help us against Volcan De Moroni,” he added.

Ssekisambu, Tonny Odur, Moses Waiswa, Brian Kakaire, Musa Esenu and new signing Milton Kariisa will be tasked with the onus of finding goals for Richard Wasswa and Edward Golola’s coached side.

Vipers will play Volcan De Moroni on Saturday in the first leg at Namboole.

The successful winner over the two legs will travel play the victor between South African side Platinum Stars and Uniso Do Songo of Mozambique.
