Vipers Sports Club of Uganda will face Platinum Stars of South Africa in the CAF Confederation Cup first round duel in March 2017.

This followed 1-0 victory against Mozambique’s União Desportiva Do Songo at the Estadio Nacional Do Zimpeto in Maputo City on Saturday during the return leg match.

Robert Ng’ambi’s had also netted at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium 7 days for the South African club, baptized as ‘Dikwena‘ with a two – nil aggregate score line over the two legs.

They thus set a date with Vipers who qualified on the away goal’s rule following a one all draw with Comoros club, Volcan De Moroni played earlier on Saturday on the Stade De Moroni astro turf.

Kamal Djabir put the home side ahead after just 15 minutes but Vipers staged a brave fight and equalized through midfielder Deus Bukenya’s free-kick in the 29th minute.

Vipers sports club is set to return on Sunday night.
