Ahead of the do or die clash in the second leg of the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League, Primeiro de Agosto assistant coach Ivo Traca says KCCA hold a big advantage.

The Angolan, who was in charge of the team last week in Kampala as they lost 1-0 to Geoffrey Sserunkuma strike in Kampala, revealed this while speaking to the local press in Luanda.

Traca says that KCCA don’t only lead from the first leg but also have more mileage in their legs having played 16 league games yet the league in Angola is in its infancy.

“It will not be easy,” said Traca as quoted by the club’s official website. “We will play with a team that leads the championship of their country, in terms of games, they take advantage because they are already going in the 16th round, and perhaps because of this they have more rhythm than our team,” he added.

But the outspoken tactician has belief depending on his side’s performance in Kampala; they have the ability to overturn events at the Estadio 11 Novembro.

From the first game we played in Kampala, we have the possibility to change the result and move on to the other phase of the competition, which is not impossible: we will enter the game with determination and obtain a result that will allow us to win the tie.

He also called upon fans to come in large numbers and support the boys since they are carrying the national flag.

We appeal to our fans and other clubs, to attend the national stadium November 11 to support the brave boys.

Over 20,000 fans expected

Meanwhile, over 20,000 fans are expected to watch the game if the ticket numbers are anything to go by.

According to the club’s Director of Communication and Image, Meike Neves, 20,000 have been printed for the tie and went on sale on Friday at the Club’s Headquarters and the venue of the match, the 11 de Novembro National Stadium.
