Sula Ssebuza scored a 90th minute penalty as Bright Stars rallied from a goal down to beat Soana at Champions Stadium, Mwererwe.
The hosts went into the game on the back of a morale boosting 2-1 victory over Lweza away from home and were favourites to pick maximum points at their intimidating fortress in Matugga.
However, they fell to an own goal from Innocent Asiimwe in the first half as Soana took the lead going into the break.
The second half saw the hosts press for the leveler and their unrelenting pressure paid off when they were awarded a penalty late in the game which the former Simba defender, cum midfielder calmly slotted home.
A point leaves Soana 5th on the log 25 points, same as 6th placed Bright Stars who have an inferior goal difference after 18 games.
