Following successful completion of the preliminary round of the 2017 CAF Champions League, the stage is now set for the pre-group ties.
Uganda’s KCCA remain in contention for a maiden group stage appearance after overcoming Angola’s Primeiro de Agosto thanks to Geoffrey Sserunkuma precious away goal in the 2-1 loss.
The side will now have to dislodge the reigning African champions, Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa to reach the lucrative group stages.
The South African side hosts the Kasasiro in the first leg in the second week on March before they pay a courtesy visit to the fortress, Phillip Omondi stadium, Lugogo.
Elsewhere, Jamal Salim and El Merriekh face Nigeria’s Rivers United, Young Africans of Tanzania will face Zambia’s Zanaco while Sudan’s Al Hilal host Tusker FC conquerors Port Louis of Mauritius.
Ethiopia’s St. George, home to Ugandan international goalkeeper Robert Odongkara have a tie against Leopard of Congo to navigate.
